Shaggy

The project ‘Shaggy’ is centered around the forest with a desire to design not just for the forest but also be inspired by it. ‘Styving’ began in Norway as farmers, facing animal food shortages, trimmed tree branches for feed - today, these trees provide a habitat for endangered fungi and moss, grappling to survive in native forests.

Together, Jule and Ronja have crafted the light installation ‘Shaggy,’ primarily composed of cuttings from ‘Styving’ trees from Norwegian farms. These branches have had their bark removed and are steam-bent to achieve a stunning three-dimensional appearance.
