Framing the questions:

- What is the material of my design? (wood, colour, shadow, softness etc.)

- What are the qualities of my material, and how can I work with them?

- What is the field that my study relates to?

The project is to encourage you to explore, experiment and study the qualities, fabrication processes and variations of your chosen materiality without a pressure for a fixed outcome. You should favour multitude in your tests and view these experiments as a future research archive to be taken further. The parallel studies should investigate into the various production technologies, material databanks and referenced readings.
