Welcome to the exhibition and presentation of an international workshop at Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo.
By witnessing geographically and culturally rooted behaviours of the everyday, we become aware of our differences and learn to appreciate the diversity. In the era of global transit, where more and more things and situations become the same, this course investigates the differences and foreignness. The workshop itself becomes a laboratory for exploring the practices of otherness through cultural encountering.
Eight teams of students from Japan and Norway tell their stories about Tokyo.
This is a joint workshop between KHiO and Tama Art University. The project involves a total of 30 students and 4 professors from the respective schools.
